Powerful 5-axis unit

Machining is carried out by a 5-axis milling head with a motor that has two outputs: one with an HSK 63F holder for automatic tool change and the other with a flange holder for a saw blade size of up to 600 mm in diameter. The 5-axis unit consistently delivers maximum torque on both outputs. It is a patented in-house innovation developed by Giovanni Sella, founder and senior director of ESSETRE.

Workpiece handling

Feeding of the machine is completed by the use of motorised cross chains with dogs to position parts into the infeed area of the machine. There NC-controlled clamps hold the workpiece and position it for processing with very high levels of accuracy. Once processed each part is pushed out onto the outfeed table the waste is collected underneath the machine and fed out to a recycling bin via a conveyor.

Tool magazine

The tool holder magazine with 11 positions is mounted on one side of the gantry and is located at the front of the work area to enable quick and precise tool changes.

Chainsaw aggregate

The machine can be specified with a chainsaw aggregate, enabling deep cuts in timber for the effortless creation of slots for steel fixtures, mortise holes and any other customer requirements. Operating from the same five-axis head, this feature gives the Techno Fast machine exceptional flexibility in production.

E-Live Software

The machine is controlled by the innovative Essetre E-Live software, which provides a three-dimensional visualisation of the workpiece and the corresponding processing. Thanks to its flexibility, the software can be connected to the most common CAD/CAM programmes for timber constructions. It also has a simulation and anti-collision system for maximum safety and efficiency.

Efficiency redefined

"My father designed the Techno Fast specifically to machine with a 5-axis unit the parts in vertical position (respect laying down on the wider side) since the bottom side of the structures are normally on sight and so unprocessed. Additional axes or complex designs and movements become unnecessary.

The consequence, along other design choices, is considerably reducing the machining time."
